The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a regularly scheduled Council Meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin calling the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

 

Members present were Beth Burden, Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, and Gordon Burden.  Absent were

Lainie Alexander and Jared Terry.

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Work Session June 23, 2025 by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi .  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting June 23, 2025 by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the bills in the amount of $34,514.90 by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe from Donohoo Chevrolet in the amount of $50,066.50 by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $2500.00 to DLC Tree Services LLC for the removal of a tree at the Municipal Park by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-14 Mayor Vaughn Goodwin elected without opposition by Brandi with a 2^nd by Beth. Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-15 Council Member, Place 1 – Jared Terry elected without opposition by Brandi with a 2^nd by Beth.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-16 Council Member, Place 2 – Gordon Burden elected without opposition by Brandi with a 2^nd by Beth.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-17 Council Member, Place 3 – Brandi Logston elected without opposition by Beth with a 2^nd by Gordon.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-18 Council Member, Place 4 – Beth Burden elected without opposition by Brandi with a 2^nd by Gordon.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-19 Council Member, Place 5 – Lainie Alexander elected without opposition by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-20 2025-2026 SRO contract for Chris Proctor by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion to approve Resolution 2025-21 2025-2026 SRO contract for Donald Terry by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion made to approve 300.00 sponsorship to the West Morgan Fishing Team by Brandi with a 2^nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $1957.30 for Heather Hood to attend Alabama Judicial College Annual Conference ($600.00 registration, $251.30 mileage, $732.00 lodging, $374.00 per diem) by Gordon with a  2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $1339.50 to ARDURRA for programming on SCADA computer by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $5785.90 for mosquito pesticide spray by Brandi with a 2^nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

 

All members present were given a copy of the park board minutes as well as the proposed ballfield rental agreement.

 

Council discussed the benefits of building a permanent bathroom for the soccer fields versus the cost of temporary ones. 

 

Members present signed Notices of Candidacy unopposed and Certificates of Election

 

Mayor Goodwin said he would get quotes for a stage for TrinityFest

Motion made to adjourn by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi  at 5:49 p.m.  All voted yes.
