Trinity Town Council                                         Council Minutes                                                                  July 28, 2025

 

The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a regularly scheduled meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin calling the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

 

Members present were Beth Burden, Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, Jared Terry, and

Gordon Burden.  Absent were none.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Work Session July 14, 2025 by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.  Jared and Lainie abstained.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting July 14, 2025 by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.  Jared and Lainie abstained

 

Motion to approve the bills in the amount of $31,250.10 by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $885.00 to Alliance Publishing Group for Town ad in 2026 Membership Directory and Community Guide by Beth with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $1745.00 to Alabama League of Municipalities for annual Membership Dues by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to allow Mayor Goodwin to re-invest Water CD in the amount of $12,927.53 with the best rate by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $469.91 to Project Resources Group for repairs on Charter service lines after leak repair at 248 Forest Home Drive by Brandi with a  2^nd by Jared .  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve allowing the police department to work security at Decatur Heritage home games held at West Morgan High School by Gordon with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $2700.00 to Alabama Law Enforcement Academy for Jalin Cousin and Tyler Letson initial attendance by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $895.00 to  Bobby Inman’s TASER instructor course for Cedric Jeffrey August 12^th & 13^th  by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve up to $800.00 to Pro-Align for repairs to Andy’s water/street service truck by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $12,150.00 to T & T Trucking for site preparation to Municipal Park Soccer Parking by Gordon with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.
