The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a regularly scheduled meeting June 24, 2024 at the Trinity Municipal Building with the meeting being called to order at 5:31 by Mayor Vaughn Goodwin.

 

Members present were Beth Burden, Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, Jared Terry,

Gordon Burden.  Absent were none.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Work Session May 28, 2024 by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  Voting yes were Jared, Lainie, Brandi, and Vaughn.  Gordon and Beth abstained.

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting May 28, 2024 by Lainie with a 2^nd by Jared.  Voting yes were Jared, Lainie, Brandi, and Vaughn.  Gordon and Beth abstained.

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Work Session June 10, 2024 by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Jared and Lainie abstained.

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting June 10, 2024 by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Vaughn, and Gordon.  Jared and Lainie abstained.

Motion made to approve the attached bills in the amount of $ 34,770.85  by Beth with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $2,200.00 to Hernandez Concrete Finishing for repair done at driveway entrance at 11 Hidden Creek Drive by Beth with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $4483.58 to Lynn Layton Ford for axle and shock work done on the 2020 Ford Explorer Hybrid by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $1,958.59 to Statewide Contracting of America, LLC for street sweeping by Beth with a  2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve paying $703.00 to ARDURRA for engineering fees relating to the water system improvements project by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $1170.00 to Galls for 2 Portable Breathalyzer tests by Brandi with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $250 per officer for summer uniform allowance by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to deny $299 to TN Valley Media for ¼ page ad in the 2024 Hartselle Visitor’s and Newcomers Magazine (to distribute 3,500 copies) by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $250.00 to the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police for Matthew Namie’s non-member registration for the 2024 Summer Conference by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $13,895.68 to GMC for engineering costs for the pickleball court project by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

Mayor Goodwin updated the Council that there would be a pre construction meeting on the water system improvement project either the coming Monday or Tuesday.  He also asked the Council to assist in setting up the Park Board and rules for use of the ballfields.

***Reminders***  Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday – July 19-21^st,  TrinityFest – Oct 6th
