The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a special called meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin opening the meeting at 9:00 a.m.

 

Members present were Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, and Jared Terry.  Absent were Beth Burden and Gordon Burden.

 

Members present signed the waiver of notice.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Work Session April 14, 2025 by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting April 14, 2025 by Brandi with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the bills in the amount of $35,362.99 by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve additional $1746.00 for the purchase of 3 police department laptops (total $8346.00 with $6600.00 donated by Representative Yarbrough) by Lainie with a 2^nd by Brandi. All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-10 allowing Chief Hughes to sign MOU with Morgan County Schools concerning SRO’s by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie .  Voting yes were Brandi, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, and Jared.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion to approve $11248.42 to Garnett’s Lawn Equipment for Pro Turn 360 31 HP Kawasaki Mower by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $250 per officer for  summer uniforms by Brandi with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $500.00 to the West Morgan High School volleyball team by Brandi with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $5080.00 to Hernandez Concrete for work done at the intersection of Sparks and Bell by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $1,210.32 EconoSigns for street signs by Brandi with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to accept $2500.00 bid from GovDeals on 1999 Ford Ranger by Brandi with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve $1600.00 for top soil by Lainie with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion to approve up to $6,000 to fix the intersection at Meadowview Drive and Old Trinity Road by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the one time trial use of the ballfields for tournaments as requested by the park board by Lainie with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Council Member Jared Terry publicly thanked ULA for their donation of the mini pumper to the fire department.

 

Council Member Lainie Alexander made the council aware that she was interested in presenting the motion to make a donation to the high school for their outstanding staff and leadership and would be presenting a number in the next few sessions.

 

Motion made to adjourn at 9:16 a.m. by Lainie with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.
