Trinity Town Council                                         Special Call Meeting                                          November 12, 2024

 

The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a special called meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin opening the meeting at 5:36 p.m.  Members present were Beth Burden, Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, and Jared Terry.  Absent was Gordon Burden.  Members present signed the waiver of notice.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes from the work session the October 28, 2024 by Lainie 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes, Jared abstained.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes from the council meeting October 28, 2024 by Beth 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes, Jared abstained.

 

Motion made to approve the attached bills in the amount of $42,958.90 by Jared with a 2nd by Brandi.   All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $2,000.00 for the 2024 Christmas Parade Budget by Brandi with a 2nd by Beth. All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $500.00 for the 2024 Christmas Tree Lighting budget by Brandi with a 2nd by Beth.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $4,000.00 to Lightwire solutions for the purchase of 3 desktops and 1 laptop so that the machines can continue to update properly by Jared with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to pay $85,057.00 to Building Construction Associates for the construction on the pickleball courts by Brandi with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to pay $84,494.72 to Wiregrass construction for the paving of Old Trinity Road by Jared with a 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

Motion made to pay $200.00 for the renewal of the field sign sponsorship for West Morgan baseball by Brandi with a 2nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $2,671.00 to the Morgan County Economic Development Association for annual membership dues by Brandi with a 2nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion to pay SP&J $34,950.00 as the final payment on the pavilion by Beth with a 2nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion to order a Police vehicle as it is budgeted by Lainie with a 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

Copies of the Audit were given to Council

Motion to adjourn by Jared with a 2nd by Brandi  at 5:58 p.m.  All voted yes.
