Trinity Town Council                                         Special Call Meeting                                          October 15, 2024

 

 

The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a special called meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with

Mayor Vaughn Goodwin calling the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.  Members present were Burden, Brandi Logston,

Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, Jared Terry, and Gordon Burden. Absent were none.  All members

present signed the waiver of notice.

 

Mayor Goodwin addressed the Council that Chief Hughes had been offered a job with Morgan County School

System as the Morgan County School Safety Coordinator.  Mayor Goodwin stated that the Town has a great working

relationship with the current superintendent and he commends Chief Hughes for bettering himself.  Chief Hughes’

start date will be October 28, 2024.

 

Motion made to accept the resignation of Chief Randy Hughes by Beth with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to post the position of Police Chief internally for 1 week and post to the public after by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to adjourn at 5:02 p.m. by Jared with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.
