The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a regularly scheduled meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin calling the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.  Members present were Beth Burden, Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, and Gordon Burden.  Absent was Jared Terry.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes from the special called work session the October 7, 2024 by Beth 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.  Lainie abstained

 

Motion made to approve the minutes from the special called meeting October 7, 2024 by Beth 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.  Lainie abstained.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the special called meeting October 15, 2024 by Lainie with a 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the special called meeting October 21, 2024 by Beth with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.  Mayor Goodwin abstained.

 

Motion made to approve the attached bills in the amount of $39,514.36 by Lainie with a 2nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $1,114.18 to GMC for engineering work done on pickleball courts by Beth with a 2nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $198.00 to Jacksonville State College for Chief Randy Hughes to attend training by Brandi with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve a .50 cent raise for Town Clerk Ashley Patterson for completing the 2-year certification to be a Municipal Revenue Officer by Beth with a 2nd by Brandi. All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $92,475.00 to AMIC for the Town’s Municipal Insurance by Brandi with a 2nd by Beth.  All voted yes.                                Note – $92,475 is the 3 year discounted price; 1 year only would be $94,187

Motion made to approve $11,367.50 to StoneHedge Nursery for landscaping at Kimbrel Park by Beth with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $748.00 to Gulf States Distributors for ammo by Lainie with a 2nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve swapping all bank accounts to Regions bank by Gordon with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve dozier work at the grounds beside the pickleball courts for approximately $175 per hour by Gordon with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion to approve the fire department delivering disaster relief supplies gathered from the community to North Carolina by Gordon with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Fire Chief Bill Pettey was in attendance and asked if the Mayor and Council could make it mandatory that house numbers be visible particularly in Heritage Estates trailer court due to increased difficulty finding the correct area for fire calls.  Mayor Goodwin stated that he would check with the Town Attorney.

Motion made to adjourn by Brandi with a 2nd by Beth at 5:36 p.m.  All voted yes.
