Trinity Town Council                                         Council Minutes                                                  September 22, 2025

 

The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a regularly scheduled meeting in the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin calling the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.

 

Members present were Beth Burden, Brandi Logston, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, and Gordon Burden.  Absent were

Lainie Alexander and Jared Terry.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Special Call Meeting September 16, 2025 by Beth with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the bills in the amount of $20,736.70 by Brandi with a 2^nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve paying $2500.00 to CUSI for annual Technical Support & Maintenance (water software) by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve a refund of $31,928.53 for Rental Tax collected  ($27,854.00 tax  + $4,074.53 interest) to United Site Services of Mississippi, LLC – verified by Avenu and Morgan County by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve Resolution 2025-34 Town of Trinity Municipal Budget 2025-2026 by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.  (This gives $1/hr raise to all full time employees as well as .50 cent/hr to part time)  Voting yes were Beth, Brandi, Mayor Goodwin, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

 

Motion to correct Devyn Garrett and Nikki Jones pay by adding .50 cents hourly due to them possessing their Bachelors degrees by Gordon with a 2^nd by Brandi.

 

Motion to cancel the Columbus Day council meeting October 13, 2025 due to it being a holiday by Brandi with a 2^nd by Beth.  All voted yes.

 

Mayor Goodwin updated the Council that road construction should begin on the intersection of Hwy 24 and Greenway any day.

Motion made to adjourn by Brandi with a 2^nd by Beth  at 5:37 p.m.  All voted yes.
