The Town of Trinity Mayor and Council met at a regularly scheduled meeting with Mayor Goodwin calling the

meeting to order at 5:33 p.m.  Members present were Beth Burden, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander,

Jared Terry, and Gordon Burden.  Absent was Brandi Logston

 

Motion made to approve the minutes from work session the September 9, 2024 by Jared 2^nd by Beth.  All voted yes.

 

Motion made to approve the minutes from the Council Meeting September 9, 2024 by Jared 2^nd by Brandi.  All voted yes.  Lainie abstained.

 

Motion made to approve the attached bills in the amount of $19,460.86  by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $888.61 to ULINE for the purchase of 5 office chairs for Court conference area by Lainie with a 2^nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $15,000.00 to Darrell Wates, CPA for the 2022-2023 Audit by Gordon with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $675.00 to the Morgan County Commission for the State of Morgan County Silver Sponsorship by Beth with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve a sales tax penalty refund of $50.10 for Michael’s Stores Company by Jared with a 2^nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to suspend Robert’s Rules of Order to take into immediate consideration Ordinance 2024-10 Amending Animal Control Ordinance 1989-3 by Jared with a 2^nd by Beth.  Voting yes were Beth, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

Motion to approve Ordinance 2024-10 Amending Animal Control Ordinance 1989-3 by Jared with a 2^nd by Beth.  Voting yes were Beth, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

Motion made to suspend Robert’s Rules of Order to take into immediate consideration Ordinance 2024-11 Electronic Record & Signature Policy by Lainie with a 2^nd by Jared.  Voting yes were Beth, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

Motion made to approve or deny Ordinance 2024-11 Electronic Record & Signature Policy by  Jared with a 2^nd by Gordon.  Voting yes were Beth, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

Motion made to approve paying $1768.48 to GMC for construction bidding and administration costs associated with the pickleball project by Jared with a 2^nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

Motion made to pay $8320.71 to ARDURRA for SCADA System Replacement by Gordon with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve $2200.00 to DLC Tree Services for removal of tree at Kimbrel Park by Gordon with a 2^nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve Music in the Park Sept 29^th 2:00-5:00 by Jared with a 2^nd by Beth.  Voting yes were Beth, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Mayor Goodwin abstained.

Council set a special call work session for October 7^th at 5:00 with a special call meeting October 7^th at 6:00.

Motion made to adjourn by Jared with a 2^nd by Gordon  at 5:55 p.m.  All voted yes.
