The Trinity Town Council met at a regularly scheduled meeting at the Trinity Municipal Building with Mayor Vaughn Goodwin calling the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Members present were Beth Burden, Mayor Vaughn Goodwin, Lainie Alexander, Jared Terry, and Gordon Burden.  Absent was Brandi Logston

 

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Work Session November 27, 2023 by Beth with a 2nd by Lanie.  Voting yes were Beth, Lainie, Jarde, and Gordon.  Mayor Goodwin abstained

Motion made to approve the minutes of the Council Meeting November 27, 2023 by Jared with a 2nd by Lainie.  Voting yes were Beth, Lainie, Jared and Gordon.  Mayor Goodwin abstained.

Motion made to pay the attached bills in the amount of $32,511.49 by Beth with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion to adopt Resolution 2023-21 allowing Mayor Goodwin to sign the Elementary School SRO contract for Donald Terry by Gordon with a 2nd by Lainie. Voting yes were Beth, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

Motion made to approve paying $2,462.11 o J.C. Cheek Contractors for paving on North Greenway by Jared with a 2nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

Motion made to approve SRO Charles Hamby to attend Integrating Communications and Tactics at UNA  12/14/23-12/15/23 taking his patrol vehicle by Jared with a 2nd by Gordon.  All voted yes.

Motion made to accept bid of $2,528.12 for 2011 FORD F150 4x4  sold as is on GovDeals by Gordon with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to adopt Resolution 2023-20 to sign the 5 year maintenance agreement with Tank Utility Service (1st year $3077.00, 2nd year $5022.00, 3rd year $3299.00, 4th year $5123, and 5th year $3536) by Gordon with a 2nd by Jared.  Voting yes were Beth, Mayor Goodwin, Lainie, Jared, and Gordon.  Voting no were none.

Motion to donate $500.00 to West Morgan Band and $500.00 to West Morgan Choir groups for their participation in the Town Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade – this money is part of the overage from the budget for these events by Beth with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion to approve $6,000 to the Police Department to help cover the cost of radios, tazers, and a camera to be combined with the $5,000 from Ernie Yarbrough by Lainie with a 2nd by Jared.  All voted yes.

Motion made to purchase 4 loads of infield mix dirt for the ballfields by Gordon with a 2nd by Lainie.  All voted yes.

Motion made to adjourn by Jared with a 2nd by Gordon  at 7:11 p.m.  All voted  yes.
